And Ya Know, the Stones Haven’t Been the Same Since He Left to Work for McCain

I hardly ever read The Fix, but Chris Cillizza himself wrote me to ask if I wanted to subscribe to his e-mail list. I was so touched, I just had to oblige.
This morning, Cillizza sent out one of his latest postings regarding John McCain:
Carla Eudy, a longtime fundraising consultant for McCain, has been moved out of her role as finance director and will be replaced by Mary Kate Johnson. Eudy will remain with the campaign in a senior advisory role, according to communications director Brian Jones, who called Eudy “incredibly hard working.”
Being me, the first thing I noticed was not the important point about the shake up in McCain’s campaign, but that his communications director is named Brian Jones. I’ve wondered what the guy has been up to lately. No one has heard much about him for decades.
Of course, the fact that McCain has got a man that’s been dead for nearly 40 years working for him may be why his campaign is in trouble. I hear Keith Moon is available should they need a replacement.

No, Moon has been gone for decades.
Which is sad because he was a fun drummer.
