UFCW Update and Clarification

A reader took issue with my post about a UFCW ad that was scheduled to run in the Yuma Daily Sun. The reader said that the ad did in fact run. I called the UFCW to see what may have caused the confusion. The ad was supposed to run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The ad ran on Friday, but did not appear on Saturday and Sunday. I asked if any other unions had run ads connected to the César Chávez holiday, and they indicated that they did not know, but Food City ran an ad that praised Chávez and announced holiday related events in the area.
The Sun has contacted the UFCW offering to run the ads on another weekend.
