Okay, Okay…
Got a call the other day from a reader who told me, “You should write something positive, you know, like how Rodney Glassman had 200 people at his campaign kick off party…”
Yeah, I didn’t write about Glassman’s campaign kick-off on Friday. I meant to, but it slipped by.
Glassman’s kick-off was, yes, packed. The variety of people was interesting too. The fact that he could introduce both Bob McMahon and Brian Flagg in the same breath tells you the spectrum of people that were there. I think that that political spectrum takes you from Infrared to Ultra Violet. It makes you wonder how far behind the starting gate Lori Oien is going to be here.
Heck, there was so much good feeling and crossing of political lines that Demitri Downing and Katie Bolger actually exchanged hugs. Glassman did not sing, however
Fellow council candidate Regina Romero made an appearance, as did David Bradley, Steve Farley, Tom Prezelski, Janet Marcus and former Mayor George Miller. Richard Elías acted as a master of ceremonies.

“Wrong Way Rodney” not only drives his SUV the wrong direction on Tucson’s roadways, but by refusing to answer questions when asked by constituents and reporters, he is also driving his campaign the wrong way.
