Charlton - Renzi Questions Develop National Legs
It’s about to boil over. The AP and UPI are both running pieces on the Paul Charlton firing and questions on whether or not it was connected to an ongoing probe of Rick Renzi (I’m not saying he’s a carpetbagger, but his favorite Western is The Virginian).
The AP story is really an Arizona Republic article on the matter. This is good to see given that back October when the Renzi matter was first raised, they pooh-poohed it.
The talk is that ABC Radio has also begun asking questions about this as well.
Credit Where Credit Is Due Department: The State Democratic Party has been inflicting the press here with scads of releases on this matter, and it appears to have finally moved the local press. Their latest is a call for Diane Humetewa, the nominee to replace Charlton, to denounce the tactics used to kill the Renzi investigation.
