McCain Bets Against Wildcats?
Some folks have had some fun with the fact that John McCain has a NCAA tournament bracket on his site and registered users can log on to it and if you “win,” you can get some campaign swag. Clever idea, and a good way to goad people into registering on his site. Of course, it wasn’t too long ago that McCain was trying to make such a thing illegal.
Here’s what galls me though: remember back in 2000, when McCain was counting on a heavy turn out in Tucson so his primary win could be even more convincing? Yeah, McCain showed up on Today with a U of A sweatshirt and declared his affection for all things Wildcat at Centennial Hall (in between Luke Skywalker references). But, check out his tournament bracket (looking at it requires registration, and the format did not allow an easy cut and paste)…the guy is betting on a second round exit by Mustafa Shakur and the boys. Thanks for the support, Senator!
So, does this effect whether or not Christine Torretti-Olson endorses the guy? Has she decided what state she lives in yet?

While the Mildcats should win game #1 vs Purdue, they don’t stand a chance against #1 Florida. Sorry Comrade Ted, only basketball team winning a title in Arizona this year will be the PHOENIX SUNS!!!

Sorry Ted, I doubt the drunk driving Kitty Cats will be getting through the first round, much less the 2nd round. I’ll bet even your coach thinks that which is probably why the Senator has them going out so soon.

It shouldn’t shock us that the carpet bagger picked Florida, after all that is where he hailed from prior to coming to AZ with all of his Military-industrial complex cash to run for office.
I don’t think the cats will get past the 1st round, but a public official should back his home team!!

McCain’s bitch ass about ran over my spouse the other day, he knocked over a few of the hotel staff at the place she works. What a dick.

McCain picks them by the numbers:
Arizona:
If McCain has to fight for it, he’s cooked.
Florida: The fourth largest bloc of GOP primary delegates, no clear local favorite. Then the largest state likely to be competitive in November. Mr. ’secretly a Gator fan’ is already on the campaign trail, right?

I’ve been checking the standings, how did your Sun Devils do?

Too bad for the PussyCats. One thing you should be glad of Comrade Ted is your finally rid of that hidious point guard. I may have to change my pick about the Suns. They playing like the U of A last couple of nights….guess this is what happens when liberal dems take over Congress?

That’s just it though, nobody expects the Devils to do well. The only good thing for us is that it seems that we’re beginning to turn the corner and even though the win total didn’t show it last year, most of the coaches in the Pac-10 (including Olson) had nothing but good things to say about the future of ASU basketball. We’ll see how it goes though but next year’s recruiting class is looking pretty darn strong:)

I picked Purdue in the first bracket because the Wildcat team this year plain sucked…if I were running for President..hmm, maybe not.
