Despite a rumor that was communicated to me by an over enthusiastic source, Clarence Boykins has not yet filed his Statement of Organization at the Clerk’s office.
Everything else I wrote about him is true, I promise.

I just want to get ahead of the rumor mill and state, on the record, I have not yet filed my Statement of Organization with the Clerk’s office either.

Clarence was asked by Marian Pickens when she introduced him at Monday’s DGT meeting if he’s going to run, and he said he is. That brought applause from many in the audience.

It should be an interesting primary election. I have been impressed with Rodney Glassman’s campaign thus far. Lots of community experience, well known, and would do a great job.
It is always nice to have a choice of course and primaries can often lead to a stronger candidate from the experience.
