Spotted this weekend at the Dust Devil, a tournament of twelve women’s roller derby teams from all over the western states, was Rep. Pete Hershberger. This was Hershberger’s first venture into the world of flat track roller derby and came to watch what turned out to be a snoozer of a match between the Tucson Saddletramps and the Muñecas Muertas from Albuquerque.
Hershberger came out with a group of friends to watch their friend Danielle Poulin, known to fans as Sloppy Flo, who works in the same field as Hershberger. The sport seems to have earned a new fan and he might be back when Flo’s team, the Furious Truckstop Waitresses, faces off with Iron Curtain in March.
