Okay…I think I finally solved what I was refering to as the “flipping” problem, where this blog’s template would suddenly switch to the “default” template and y’all would see a blue and white screen.
After some back and forth with DreamHost’s tech support (who were very responsive, the Daily Star should give them a “flower”), I asked, “What if I delete the default template?” They told me that that shouldn’t cause any new problems, so go for it. So far, it seems to have worked. Eric Lybeck gave me some useful advice on this one too.
