Some Changes Around Here
I added some things to the sidebar. I changed the “Blogroll” to be more like my old sidebar blogroll with the flags. The new “Election Aught Seven” category is for candidates that I’m supporting in this upcoming election. Under links, I limited who I listed to elected officials who actually are in my area, plus Raúl Grijalva, whose district is only a block away from me anyway.
I found a plug-in that allowed me to add a list of books and CDs that I’m listening to. At first, I went ahead and listed recent books and CD purchases. Then I realized that this is territory that is covered on my other blog, so I’ll just list books that are a bit more appropriate to the subject matter of this blog. Anything other than that is even more of an exercise in ego than this blog already is.
One of y’all posted that I don’t have spaces between the text and the pictures. I have been putting some code in the picture links that should have done this. It works fine on Internet Explorer, but I checked and for some reason Netscape and Firefox do not put space between the pictures and text. I’ll poke around and try to find out what the deal is. Any advice y’all can send me would be appreciated.
I also have found out that the “Blurb-o-matic” doesn’t work on Firefox or Netscape. I have been told that there is a plug-in that would do this better rather than the clunky Java script I have been using for this.
I’ve been suprised at the reaction to the New Improved R-Cubed (now with Retsin and lemon freshness!). Any further suggestions y’all have would be appreciated.

Old design was better.

Speaking as a person who designs websites for a living — the brown gradient at the top is a huge, huge waste of real estate. It pushes a lot of content “below the fold”. Keep your seal — just move it above the Blurb-O-Matic.
That’ll be $1,000, please.

Haha.
Also to be clear — i didn’t really prefer the old design.
