You Wanted Evidence?
When I tried to debunk the rumor that the DCCC was pulling out of the CD 5 race, I was asked for more solid evidence. I can’t remember people asking for evidence from the people that started this rumor, but que sera sera.
This is a new ad that the DCCC is running against J. D. Hayworth. Obviously, they haven’t abandoned Harry Mitchell.

I think the DCCC may be overetimating the weight which the Udall name carries in John Rhodes’s district. But what the hell, we can apreciate the sentiment; and it’s not as if anyone in the national Dem. party has a subtle enough understanding of the state to know Arizona from Aardvark anyway.
They’re beginning to take a serious interest in Colorado, so maybe we’ll be next.

on the other hand, the nationally minded folk over at DCCC were smart enough to torpdeo Huffman in the CD-08’s GOP primary.
they’re learning?

hmm, good point sonoranturtle.
Do you think then that one might surmise this ad was first created for CD-8, where it appears to be unneeded, and in a savings move has been recycled for CD-5, where it lacks deep Arizona resonance, but makes the stem-cell case pretty well?
Gosh, a great and devastating ad could have been made of clips where Barry Goldwater could condemn everything Hayworth stands for.
