Pederson and Kyl Debate On Again, For Now
Jump to Comments
The Jim Pederson - Jon Kyl debate is on again for Wednesday. Apparently, it will be at 6:30 on KUAT, but some details are still being worked out. From what I heard, Libertarian candidate Richard Mack will be there.
Of course, this all could have changed since I last talked to anyone about it. It could change by the time you read this.
I’m still curious about why Kyl is so worried about doing a debate in the first place. I mean, he’s been there for twelve years and he has a great record to stand on, right?

I think he is worried because then he might not get to eat those freedom fries in the Capital cafeteria.
Wait, not that is JD…Then I have no idea what he is worried about.

At the Tempe Forum last month the Libertarians were hitting Kyl (Andy Chasin stood in for him)on civil liberty issues, immigration, phony War on Drugs, phony War on terror, etc.
The biggest applause lines were Libertarians hitting Bush and the GOP.
That’s why he’s nervous. Libertarians message, “I don’t trust either R’s or D’s” but most people distrust the GOP and lately stand with the Dems on social issues. So when the L’s start attacking SS, Medicare, and stand with deregulation of corporations, most people stop cheering and realize the Dems are the best choice.
