Branching Out and Taking Over
I was interviewed on Friday by the Boston-based PRI radio program Open Source. The also interviewed Daniel Patterson and Michael Marizco. They wanted our opinions about the CD 8 race and some thoughts in general about the politics and culture of Southeastern Arizona.
Here is the rub: the program is distibuted nationally to NPR stations, but to none here in Arizona. You can listen to it on their website after 4:00 PM, however.
The assistant that interviewed me told me that she thought that I was knowledgeable and wanted to maybe arrange for a live interview. I told her, great! Well, it is not to be. They will be interviewing Patterson live instead. Yeah, he’s got that rugged outdoors look that’s hip nowadays. It plays better on the radio.

From what I understand Daniel will not be the only local blogger featured on the program.

I didn’t know who else they had interviewed. I only knew about Daniel because he told me, and I knew about Marizco since he was mentioned on the website.
Good to see a variety, though.

It’s my hip radio voice, I’m sure. They told me I ’sound western.’ Funny. The show went well, and Tedski’s taped comments were included.
The other blogger was John, the right-winger who does ‘Sonoran Alliance’ blog.
