Several Republican legislators were hoping to have a press conference announcing a law suit against the Clean Elections Commission, but instead, they had to answer questions about fellow legislator Russell Pearce.
Someone will complain that the question was a publicity stunt by the Democratic party, as if the press conference itself was not a publicity stunt.
I think protestations that they did not represent the Republican party would be more believable if they weren’t doing it behind a lectern that was clearly labeled “Arizona Republican Party.”
They don’t know anything about Pearce’s comments? This thing has been all over the news. Their lack of attention to current events explains a few of their votes.
