Why So Many Republicans Suck
The other day in the debate between the two candidates in the Illinois 6th district, Republican Peter Roskam accused Democrat Tammy Duckworth of “cutting and running” in Iraq.
Let’s see what Roskam’s definition for “cutting and running” is:
In November of 2004, Major Ladda “Tammy” Duckworth was piloting a Blackhawk helicopter in Iraq when the chin bubble was hit by a rocket propelled grenade. The grenade penetrated the aircraft and exploded between her legs. Despite her injuries, she was determined to safely land the craft. She could not do so, and the co-pilot was able to successfully land. Duckworth’s injuries cost her both legs and severely damaged her right arm. Only one other member of the crew was injured.
Roskam, on the other hand, has been fighting Operation Iraqi Freedom from the Illinois State Assembly and spent his “prime draft age” years as an intern for Tom Delay and Henry Hyde.
The levels these guys will stoop to in their rhetoric continues to astound me.

Bush is coming to visit (Oct. 13?)and Roskam will stand proudly next to him on podium. DeLay, Norquist and Cheney have all raised big money for him, though Cheney and Laura were the only ones to come to the district I believe. Lil Petey is a truly reprehensible character. Listen to him in the first debate recorded Friday and broadcast last night for the first time here:

Even Bob Dole, another wounded war vet says she’s a great candidate and we’ve got that on the back of flyers we’re handing out all over the district.
Tammy is a strong candidate, really knows her stuff. Bachelors in Political Science. Masters in International Affairs from The George Washington Uni. in DC and was working on her doctorate when she was called up for Iraq.
Great sense of humor too. Saturday morning at a rally with Durbin she was relating a story about what a regular guy he is (full disclosure: I’m a volunteer) and she told us about driving up from
downstate in her E85 Ford extended cab pickup (more disclosure: my dad sold Ford trucks for decades and they fed my family) with Durbin and her husband. The Senate Minority Whip insisted on squeezing in back and she tried to get him to switch with her by saying, “I’m the only one here who doesn’t actually need any legroom.”
Last night a number of us were phonebanking and she came over to chat. We tried to get her to sit down but she demurred. She said if she uses her cane and leans on her right artifical leg it’s sort of like sitting anyway because the leg’s gone from the hip. Frankly I think sitting down and getting up from a chair is more effort than resting on the leg. The other one is gone above the knee. Her arm was broken in 3 places and there’s still a couple of yards of stitches all around it. I hear she lost almost half her blood before they got her stablized. Army medivacs are the best. Her recovery is amazing. She is one of the most energetic campaigners I’ve ever seen and incredibly positive.
Listen to that debate. Roskam won some courtroom litagator award, and is supposedly a crack debater from years in the IL Senate. She more than held her own. I was worried about this guy. But not anymore, he’s a lightweight who’s so tonedeaf he was actually arguing for earmarks and less spending practically in the same breath.

Just keep in mind that these are the same kind of people as Ann Coulter, who implied that Max Cleland was drunk from partying when he lost three limbs in Vietnam due to an explosion caused when he was departing a helicopter and a grenade fell off onto the ground.
These are people who will say or do anything about anybody.
It’s amazing how many of these Republican ‘know it all’ hawks seem to have gained most of their knowlege about war from playing Risk late at night with their college buddies.

The elite’s government FEARS you!!!!!!
Their fear is manifested in the laws they pass. Here is a law banning what MANY of the Founders wrote is a RIGHT of citizens when a government no longer represents them:
Section 2385. Advocating overthrow of Government
Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or
teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of
overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or
the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession
thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by
force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any
such government; or
Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any
such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates,
sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed
matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity,
desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any
government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts
to do so; or
Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society,
group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the
overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or
violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any
such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes
thereof -
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than
twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by
the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five
years next following his conviction.
If two or more persons conspire to commit any offense named in
this section, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned
not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for
employment by the United States or any department or agency
thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.
As used in this section, the terms ”organizes” and
”organize”, with respect to any society, group, or assembly of
persons, include the recruiting of new members, the forming of new
units, and the regrouping or expansion of existing clubs, classes,
and other units of such society, group, or assembly of persons.
The federal government is allowing MILLIONS of illegals to invade our country. Corporate America is becoming increasingly more powerful and influential. Yet, according to the government of for and by the elites YOU, a citizen, have to accept whatever the government does with NO recourse other than voting…… and there is sufficient proof that shows to me voting is worthless since the entrenched power structure ensures that the emplaced elite class can not be removed.
Several Founders specifically wrote of the people’s right to abolish a government when it no longer represents them.
We are forced to live under an elite’s TYRANNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
